Michael Oher

 Michael Jerome Oher (/o:r/ born as Ne Williams Jr.;born May 28th in 1986) is an former American football offensive tackle who played in the National Football League (NFL) for eight seasons, mostly with the Baltimore Ravens. He was a college footballer at the University of Mississippi. There was a time when he won unanimous All-American honors and was chosen by the Ravens to be the first player they selected in the 2009 NFL Draft. The team he played with included the Tennessee Titans and Carolina Panthers.Oher's life from his last year in high school as well as his the first year of college was one of the themes of Michael Lewis' 2006 book, The Blind Side: Evolution of a Game, as well as the Academy Award-winning 2009 film, The Blind Side.Born Michael Jerome Williams, Jr., in Memphis, Tennessee, he was one of 12 children born to Denise Oher. The mother of Denise Oher was victimized to crack drinking and cocaine addiction, while his father Michael Jerome Williams was often in prison. He did not receive much attention or discipline throughout his youth. He attended eleven schools in his nine first years in school. He was placed in foster care when he was seven, and alternated between living in various foster homes and periods of homelessness. Oher's father was a former cellmate of Denise Oher and who was also a high school senior was killed in prison
