Joseph Morgan

 Joseph Martin, born 16 May 1981 in London, is an actor and director from the UK. He is well-known for his character Niklaus "Klaus" Mikaelson on The CW's The Vampire Diaries and its spin-off The Originals, in which the actor plays the lead.Morgan was born in London but he was raised in Swansea for 11 years.He is the oldest of children in his family. He attended Morriston Comprehensive School and then completed a BTEC Performing Arts course at Gorseinon College (now Gower College Swansea) prior to moving back to London to study at the Central School of Speech and Drama in his late teens.citation required]Joseph's first acting audition was in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets for Tom Riddle.Morgan starred in the first series of the Sky One television series Hex in the role of Troy and has appeared as a supporting actor in films such as Alexander and Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World and the BBC Two television series The Line of Beauty. He also appeared in the TV series Doc Martin and Casualty and co-starred in Mansfield Park alongside Billie Piper. He played the role of Ben Hur in the 2010 mini-series that aired in Canada on CBC TV and in America on ABC TV on April 4, the 4th of April.
