Sarah Shahi was born Aahoo jahansouzshahi, daughter of an Iranian father, and a Spanish-Iranian mother. She was an ex- NFL cheerleader, and a descendant of a 19th-century Persian Shah. She graduated from Trinity High School, Southern Methodist University and was a student of opera. English was her major. She was a winner of numerous beauty contests in her teens and was the first to be crowned Miss Fort Worth USA in 1997. She was an official cheerleader for the Dallas Cowboys from 1999 to 2000. She was also on the front cover of the Dallas Cowboys calendar for 2000. Shahi was the first ghost in Supernatural (2005) which was a CW paranormal drama series. In a variety of TV shows, she played regular roles, such as Alias (2001) in which she was "Jenny" as well as Dawson's Creek (1998), in which she played "Sadiashaw". The role she played as "Carmen de la Pica Morales" as a DJ from Mexico was well-loved by viewers. She was a part of the second season of The L Word (2004). Sarah's contract was terminated for season four of the show and her character was later deleted from the show.
