In March 2019, Giannulli and his wife, actor Lori Loughlin, were charged and detained in connection to the college admissions corruption scandal. They were both sentenced to prison and a fine in august 2020 after they pleaded guilty to the charges. Giannulli was sentenced to a five-month prison sentence from November 2020 until April 2021. His wife served a two-month prison sentence from October 2020 to December 2020Giannulli was born Massimo Giannulli on June 4 1963, in Los Angeles to parents of Italian descent, Gene, an architect and Nancy Giannulli, a homemaker.
