Marin's parents met while serving as members of the Peace Corps. Born in Dar es Salaam (Tanzania) She moved with her family to Boston, Massachusetts when she was only four months old. The twins of Mark was born in the year following. Her father, Rodney, is a retired school teacher. Margaret her mother is a judge in the Massachusetts Superior Court. Marian would like to be a dancer, and she continued to study until she was 16 after an injury to her ankle ended her hopes. Her parents were worried about her decision to not pursue acting, but encouraged her to go for acting. They also advised her to get an education master's degree to aid her if things didn't work out. She completed her studies at Brown University and then enrolled at New York University, where she claims to be pretty awful in the acting classes. Randall who was who was a New York theatre director, was her husband. After her success the couple moved to a Hollywood home they leased after a nine-month separation.Marin was first successful acting in New York theater ("Electra" & "The Tempest") and then landed minor film roles and then guest appearances on various TV shows prior to her co-starring part on Once and Again (1999). Her next role was in the show as Judith Harper on the popular sitcom Two and a Half Men (2003) and made several guest appearances on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (1999)
