Darryl Richards II is known as Lil Scrappy, who was born on January 20, 1984. In the course of performing at an Atlanta school event, Lil Jon discovered him. Along with labelmates Trillville, Lil Scrappy was one of the first signees to Lil Jon's BME Recordings.Lil Scrappy gained a solid name and a loyal following across the Southeast with mixtapes as well as the 2003 street anthem "Head Bussa." Lil Jon signed a partnership agreement to bring his BME Recordings under Warner Bros. Records.
