Colin Kaepernick

 Colin Rand Kaepernick is an American professional football quarterback. As a kid he was fascinated by football, baseball, and basketball. He participated in all three major American sports with great success. After being accepted into a junior football league, he began playing football when he was eight years old. He was a punter as well as a defensive end. The following year when he was the team's quarterback and threw his first pass for an impressive touchdown. As a pitcher, he could throw fastballs at 94 miles per hour. He was also member of the high school baseball team. In basketball, he was able to lead his team to win a high school state championship playoff. Despite earning the majority of his high school achievements in the field of baseball, Kaepernick was adamant about playing football at college. He went to the University of Nevada, Reno and joined their Nevada Wolf Pack football program. The 49ers of San Francisco drafted the quarterback as their backup. He was only 25 and played a significant role in the 49ers winning the NFC title. In 2016, he faced criticism and praised for his stand against the oppression faced by people of color.
