Amanda Peet, an American actress, made her acting debut in the 2000 American crime comedy film "The The Whole Nine Yards". She made her way into films after appearing in a range of commercials as well as small TV roles during the 90s. She was in the American comedy film Saving Silverman and then acted in the American romantic comedy "Something's Gotta Give". She has also been part of the comedy films that are popular 'Griffin & Phoenix', and 'The Ex'. In addition to comedy movies, Peet has appeared in different genres, too. Peet was in the American geopolitical thriller film Syriana", and in the science fiction movie The X-Files : I Want to Believe' in the early 2000s. As a young girl, she decided to become an actress in her college years. Uta Hagen was her acting instructor and she began her career in acting. She was a part of the American comedy-drama television show 'Jack and Jill' for 3 consecutive seasons and later appeared in 'Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip', another comedy-drama show. Peet has also taken part in several campaigns for childhood vaccinations. Peet was recognized by the Independent Investigative Group for her support for vaccines.
