Nancy Ann Travis was born September 21, 1961. She is an American actress. Her breakout came in 1987 when she was playing Sylvia Bennington in the comedy film Three Men and a Baby. She then appeared in the sequel, Three Men and a Little Lady (1990)Travis has appeared in many films that include Internal Affairs (1990), Air America (1990), Passed Away (1992), Chaplin (1992), So I Married an Axe Murderer (1993), Greedy (1994) and Fluke (1995). On television, Travis went on to star in the CBS sitcom Almost Perfect in 1995, which ran two seasons, and also in the short-lived Work with Me (1999). She starred in ABC's miniseries Rose Red in 2002. Then, Travis joined the CBS Becker cast Becker for its final two seasons. She was a co-star with Michael Douglas from 2018 to 2019. Travis was born in Queens as the daughter of Theresa (a social worker) and Gordon Travis (a sales executive). Travis was raised in Framingham, Massachusetts,and Baltimore, Maryland. After graduating high school, Travis was raised Catholic. Her first gig was as a performer in the play It's hard to Be a Jew at The American Jewish Theatre in NYC. Travis was later a part of the stage version of Neil Simon's Brighton Beach Memoirs. He also founded Off-Broadway theater company Naked Angels. She was also in King of Connecticut and the Frank Pugliese show Aven U–Boys. She made her Broadway debut in I'm Not Rappaport. Athol Fugard's My Children, My Africa was her lead role.
