James Freud

 James Randall Freud (born Colin Joseph McGlinchey 29 June 1959 - 4 November 2010) was an Australian musician and songwriter from rock. He was an original member of Models in the 1980s. The two most well-known singles were "Barbados" (29 June 1959 4 November 2010 - 29 June 1959). Freud's autobiographies "I am the Voice Left From Drinking (2002) as well as "I am the Voice left in Rehab (2007) explain his life in the music industry and his addictions. On 27 October 2010, Models were admitted into the ARIA Hall of Fame by the former Models member Wendy Matthews, Freud was not present at the ceremony.Freud was born Colin Joseph McGlinchey on 29 June 1959, to Joe and Hannah McGlinchey and grew up in Melbourne. His passion for music began prior to the time he began school. "I knew that I was going to want to pursue from the age of five. My uncle gave me the entire collection of Frankie Avalon records and I just loved the music. It was that simple, that was all I wanted to accomplish". Freud was just a teenager at the time his father died. He was a student at St Thomas More Catholic Boys College[ (now part Emmaus College).
