Amber Benson

 Amber Benson was born January 8th 1977. She is an American actor and singer. Her most well-known work is her role as Tara Maclay on the TV show Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1999-2002), and has also been the director, producer and star in her own movies Chance (2002) and Lovers, Liars & Lunatics (2006). She also starred as the bride in Kiss the Bride (2007). With co-star and fellow Buffy actor Adam Busch, she co-directed Drones (2010). Benson was also a waitress in the horror movie The Killing Jar (2010).Benson was born January 8, 1977,in Birmingham, Alabama, the daughter of Diane and Edward Benson, a psychiatrist.She has one younger sister named Danielle, who is an artist. The father of her is Jewish and her mother is as a Southern Baptist. was raised in an Reform synagogue in Alabama.Benson was just 14 when she made her debut in a feature film in the Steven Soderbergh film King of the Hill.Benson is well-known for her recurring role as Tara Maclay on the television series Buffy the Vampire Slayer. The character first appeared on the episode of season 4 "Hush" and then became the lover of Willow Rosenberg (Alyson Hannigan). Benson continued to be a part of the show until the sixth season, when she was eliminated. In her final episode, Benson was credited for her only appearance as an actor on the regular roster.
