Amanda Carpenter (born November 20 1982) is an American author, advisor to the political party, and speechwriter. She is a former senior staffer for Senators Jim DeMint and Ted Cruz. She was a columnist for The Washington Times from 2009 to 2010 and regularly appears as a political contributor on CNN.Carpenter was born in Montrose, Michigan. Ball State University awarded her a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies. Carpenter graduated from Ball State University with an B.A. in Communication Studies. Carpenter returned to journalism in July of 2015.
