Alison Wright (born 12 July 1976) is an English actress from England. Her most well-known character is in the role of Martha Hanson, the FX period-set spy drama The Americans (2013)-2017. She received praise from critics for this role and was nominated for the Primetime Emmy Award in 2017. Her credits include The Nanny Diaries (2007) and The Accountant (2016). Wright attended the highly regarded Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute as well as The Barrow Group in New York City. She worked as waitress and auditioned for roles.
