Alice Krige

 Alice Maud Krige, (Afrikaans pronunciation: ['kri?kh@]) is an actor and producer from South Africa. Her birth date was on the 28th of June 1954. Chariots of Fire (1981), in which she played the role of Sybil Gordon, a Gilbert and Sullivan singer, was her debut feature film. She played the dual role of the character Eva Galli/Alma Molly in Ghost Story (1981) and the Borg Queen in Star Trek: First Contact (1996).Krige was born in Upington, Cape Province (now Northern Cape), South Africa, her parents were Patricia Professor of psychology, and Louis Krige, a physician. The Kriges then moved to Port Elizabeth, where Alice was raised in what she described as a "very happy family", with two brothers who later became a physician and the other was a Professor of Surgery.Krige went to Rhodes University in Grahamstown, South Africa with plans to become a clinical psychologist. Following an acting course at Rhodes she turned to acting. After graduation, she received an honors degree from a Bachelor of Arts and a BA Hons in Drama. She then moved to London to attend the Central School of Speech and Drama.
