Stephanie Sigman is a Mexican-American actress. Her breakthrough role was in the film Miss Bala, a Mexican crime-drama film Miss Bala. The actress went on to appear in Pioneer (2013), Spectre (2015), Going Under (2016) as well as Annabelle: Creation (2017). In the television world, Sigman starred in Narcos (2015) and S.W.A.T (2017) for the first and second seasons of the series.Sigman was born in Ciudad Obregon, Sonora, Mexico and was the daughter of an Mexican mother and an American father, Lee Sigman, a New York Yankee scout from Kansas. By virtue of her father, she's an U.S. citizen. Her brother, the baseball player Kenneth Ray Sigman was previously married to Barbara Mori. Sigman started her career on Mexican television before she made her film debut in Rio de Oro. In 2011 she was cast in the lead character of Laura Guerrero in the Mexican crime-drama film Miss Bala. Though the film was nominated for Best Foreign Language Film, it did not make the final list. In recognition of her performance in the film, Sigman was nominated in 2011 for the Dublin Film Critics Circle Award. She was in Catalina Aguado, the Canadian documentary film Flight of the Butterflies the following year. In 2013, Sigman co-starred in the Norwegian thriller Pioneer.
