Canadian actress Neve Adrianne Camp (/'nev/kaemb@l/; 3 October, 1973) She is well-known for her roles in the drama and horror genres. After a few minor appearances, Campbell was a star role in the drama series Catwalk (1992-1994) as well as the television film The Canterville Ghost (1996) The latter of which won her a Family Film Award for Best Actress. After a series of minor roles, Campbell retreated to the United States to take on the character of Julia Salinger on the Fox Teen Drama Show Party of Five (1994-1994). The role was her breakout role that made her a teenager idol and a nomination to the Teen Choice Award for Choice TV Actress. While on the show, she starred in her first American feature film, which was the horror blockbuster The Craft (1996).Campbell rose to international prominence for starring in the role of Sidney Prescott in Wes Craven's Scream, a slasher movie Scream (1996), which was a critical and commercial hit, becoming the top-grossing slasher movie for more than 20 years, and gaining a cult following. The film's popularity led to the creation of the Scream franchise, for which she reprised her role in the franchise's second (1997), third (2000), fourth (2011) and fifth (2022) installments, taking on the character for over 25 years. While critical acclaim has varied with each film, Campbell has consistently earned the praise she deserves for her work and is one of the most successful films in the genre.
