The American band, The Band Perry, is comprised of Kimberly Perry (lead singer, guitar), Reid Perry, (bass guitar as well as background vocals) and Neil Perry (mandolins, bouzoukis and background vocals). Their debut album, self-titled, was released by Republic Nashville on October 12 the 12th of October, 2010. The band signed with Republic Nashville in August 2009. The album's single, "If I Die Young" reached number one on the U.S. It was certified multi-platinum six times by Billboard Hot Country Songs, Hot Adult Contemporary Tracks and was certified as multiplatinum six times. The band's second album, Pioneer, was released on April 2 2013, 2013. The album had many more hit singles that reached the top of the charts, including "Better Dig Two", "Done", and the top 10 hits "Don't Let Me Be Lonely" (Chainsaw). The group transitioned into pop in 2017 and started to release music independently in 2018.Kimberly Perry was a singer in her own band as she was a teenager, along with her brothers Neil and Reid performing as roadies.At the age of 8 and 10 years old, the brothers started performing as an opening act with they formed the Mobile Music Machines, for Kimberly. Kimberly released "Carry On", an EP that featured a track inspired by the song. Once they had united to the band name of "the Band Perry", they joined the New Faces of Country tour in 2005.
