Jennifer Odessa Nettles, born September 12, 1974, is an American singer-songwriter, actress, record producer and actress. Prior to her joining Sugarland, Nettles fronted the Atlanta-based groups Soul Miner's Daughter, and Jennifer Nettles band. She also charted as a duet partner on the country version of the rock group Bon Jovi's 2006 single "Who Says You Can't Go Home" which was a top-ten hit on the Billboard country charts. Throughout her career, she has earned numerous accolades which include three Grammy Awards, four Country Music Association Awards and an American Music Award for her work both in her solo career and being a part of Sugarland. Sugarland.Nettles is currently an adjudicator on the show Go-Big Show (2021).Nettles was born and raised in the tiny town of Douglas, Georgia, United States, graduating from Coffee High School and Agnes Scott College in Decatur, Georgia.Nett married Todd Van Sickle in 1998, but they divorced in 2007. Justin Miller was her boyfriend for two years. Nettles got married to Justin Miller in a sunset ceremony on Blackberry Farm, East Tennessee. On June 18, 2012 Nettles as well as her husband made the announcement that they were expecting their first child in November of 2012. Their son was born on December 2012.
