Alice Amter

 Alice Amter, born 11 May 1966 is an English actress. She is most well-known for her character as Mrs. Koothrappali in The Big Bang Theory. She lived in Leamington Spa and spent some time in Warwick New Road's children's home. Then, her mother was an elderly German woman who cared for Amter. Amter received her education at Milverton Junior and Infant School and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in international relations and modern languages from the University of Wolverhampton. She also has lived in France, Germany and Japan in Japan, where she taught English in the early 1990s. In the early 1990s she relocated to Los Angeles. Despite her most well-known role in "Mrs. Koothrappali", she has said she has no Indian origins.
