Alexa PenaVega

 Alexa Ellesse PenaVega(nee Vega; born August 27 1988) is an American actress and singer. She is known for her roles in the roles of Carmen Cortez in the Spy Kids film series as well as Julie Corky in the 2004 film Sleepover. In 2009, she appeared as the title character Ruby Gallagher in the ABC Family series Ruby & the Rockits.Vega was born in Miami, Florida. She spent some of her early years on a ranch near Ocala, Florida.better resource neededHer father, Baruch Vega is a Colombian photographer of fashion. He was also a student informer at the Central Intelligence Agency. Vega's mother Gina Rue is a former model. Vega has six siblings including actress Makenzie Vega. At the age of four, she moved to California. of age and moved to California together with her family. Vega was homeschooled until she was an teen. In the year 1996, she starred in Twister as a young Jo Harding. She has been on numerous films and television shows, including ER and Follow the Stars Home. In 2001 she was recognized for her role in Spy Kids as "Carmen Cortez". Spy Kids' first film was a great commercial success. Two sequels, Spy Kids 2 - The Island of Lost Dreams as well as Spy Kids 3 - Game Over were also produced. She was the main performer in her stunts throughout the production of the three films. Vega was a grown Carmen Cortez in Spy Kids: All the Time in the World in the sequel.
