Alba Galindo, a Colombian-American TV host and model who was born February 26 1981, is now employed by ESPN Deportes. Galindo is most well-known for her part as an Senadora on the Univision weekly sports show Republica Deportiva. Galindo was born in Miami and moved to Cali, Colombia shortly thereafter. She began modeling at 17 years old. Galindo worked as model for a variety of businesses which included Marlboro as well as Buchanan's. Galindo returned to Miami three years later to continue her modeling career. Many opportunities to appear in sportswear and swimsuit catalogues were created following the move.In 2004, Galindo won the Miss Republica Deportiva competition held by Univision.
