Born Agamdeep Darshi in Birmingham (UK) to parents of South Asian Punjabi Indian descent. Her family and she immigrated to Canada at a young age. Her home was Montreal, Ottawa and Calgary and has since moved to Calgary to pursue acting. Darshi studied Theatre and Fine Arts at the University of Calgary and earned an undergraduate degree in photography.Darshi has been featured in over twenty-five television productions and has appeared in over 12 films. Darshi is most well-known for her role in Tru Calling, Dead Zone, The L-Word, and as Laura in the horror film Final Destination 3. In a regular role, she appeared on the Canadian television show for teenagers called renegadepress.com. From 2009 until the year 2011, Darshi appeared in the television series Sanctuary. She was part of the main cast in seasons two and three, and was a frequent guest on season four.Darshi is also a producer, director writer, screenwriter and playwright, as well as an artist as well as a graphic designer. She won the Best Supporting Performance by A Female in a Motion Picture award at the 2013 Leo Awards for her role in the film Crimes of Mike Recket. Alongside her fellow South Asian actress Patricia Isaac she was the co-founder of the Vancouver International South Asian Film Festival (VISAFF).She has been featured as Ruby Shivani in season 2 of TV serial You Me Her.
