Aarti Majumdar, born March 3rd, 1978 better popularly known as Aarti Mann is an American actress. After the television series Never Have I Ever, she appeared in a variety of TV programs. Also, she was a part of Heroes which is a sci-fi thriller. Her most famous role is the one of Priya Koothrappali who is the protagonist of The Big Bang Theory. Mann was born on March 3 1978 in Connecticuon, India to a Gujarati Hindu family in Junagadh Gujarat. Mann is an Indian American of first generation. Her parents hail of Gujarat, India. Mann moved with her family to Pittsburgh, Mt. Lebanon and Wexford before moving to the Fox Chapel.Her mother, Vasanti Majumdar, a graduate of University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) and lives in Fox Chapel and is a doctor who specializes in obstetrics and Gynaecology. Mann's father, who was also a physician, passed away during her time in high school.Despite Mann having never acted in plays in high school at Shady Side Academy in Point Breeze, she graduated with an education in film writing and directing at New York University where she practiced acting.
