Tran Jeong is a doctor in the American family from Vietnam. She is married to actor Ken Jeong, who is famous for his role as Ben Chang in the sitcom Community and the gangster Leslie Chow in The Hangover film series. Tran's parents were of Vietnamese origin, but she was raised in the United States. She completed her UCLA degree at the David Geffen School of Medicine, and has worked as a family physician for nearly two years. In 2002, while she was working at Kaiser Permanente in West California, she was introduced to Ken, who was a colleague of hers. They dated for a couple of years before they were married in 2004. Tran as well as her husband have twin daughters, Zooey and Alexa. In 2008, one year after the birth of their kids, Tran was diagnosed with breast cancer. Then, she underwent 16 chemotherapy sessions, as well as a mastectomy. Later she was treated using radiation therapy. Through the whole ordeal her husband was her caretaker. In October 2010 the doctors of her family informed her that she was cancer free.
