Lily Collins

 Lily Jane Collins was born in Guildford, Surrey in England. Her father, Phil Collins, is a famous English musician. While her mother Jill Tavelman is from Los Angeles and served as president of the Beverly Hills Women's Club, for three years, Lily Jane Collins was born in Guildford in Surrey, England. Following the divorce of her parents, Lily moved to LA with her mother at five years old. Her maternal grandfather is Russian Jewish, English and German. She was just two when she made an appearance on the BBC's series Growing Pains in the year 1992. Collins was a Youth Academy for Dramatic Arts student when she was a kid. But, her primary interest was journalism. After finishing her studies at Harvard-Westlake School she attended the USC where she pursued a degree in broadcast journalism. In her teens she began writing a column entitled "NY Confidential" for Elle Girl. She also contributed to Seventeen, Teen Vogue and the Los Angeles Times magazines. After a few television appearances (such as covering the 2008 US Presidential election as host on Nickelodeon's Nick News with Linda Ellerbee: Kids Choose the President (2000)), she was on 90210 (2008). In the huge box office hit The Blind Side, she played alongside Sandra Bullock as the daughter of Tim McGraw and Sandra Bullock's characters. She then was offered more dramatic roles. Mirror Mirror (2012) made her famous worldwide. Following that she was the lead in the film Love, Rosie (2013).
