Kenny Chesney

Kenny Chesney, in full Kenneth Arnold Chesney, (born March 26, 1968, Luttrell, Tennessee, U.S.), American country-music performer, songwriter and guitarist. His slow-moving ballads, tough-core party songs, live charisma, an easygoing personality and elegant concert performances made him one of the most popular performers of the late 20th and the early 21st centuries.Chesney spent the majority of his youth in the small town where his birthplace was located near Knoxville, Tennessee. The couple divorced when he only a few years old. Chesney was a teenager and moved to Knoxville with his mother and sister after he was 15. Although he loved listening to bluegrass, rock, and country music in his youth, it was not until the middle of his second year as a business major at East Tennessee State University that Chesney began to show any interest in making music himself. As a Christmas gift his mother gifted him an instrument. He was immediately attracted by it. He began practicing hours per day while learning new songs, and picking out songs. He began playing in local venues in a matter of months, mostly playing renditions of songs from the country genre like Hank Williams Jr. and George Jones. He also performed compositions of his own, which performed at his shows and also sold cassette tapes.
