Joseph Morgan

 Joseph Martin, born 16 May 1981 in London, is an actor and director from Britain. He is most well-known for his part as Niklaus "Klaus" Mikaelson on The TV show CW's The Vampire Diaries and its spin-off The Originals, in which he is the lead.Morgan was born in London however, he lived in Swansea for the past 11 years. [He is the oldest child of his family. He attended Morriston Comprehensive School and then studied the BTEC Performing Arts program at Gorseinon College (now Gower College Swansea) prior to moving back to London to attend the Central School of Speech and Drama in his late teens.Joseph Morgan's first audition as an actor was for Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets for Tom Riddle. Morgan starred in the first series of the Sky One television series Hex as Troy and also in the supporting parts in films like Alexander and Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World as well as The Line of Beauty, a BBC Two television series The Line of Beauty. He has also appeared in the television series Doc Martin and Casualty and co-starred in Mansfield Park alongside Billie Piper. In 2010, he portrayed the role of the title character in the mini-series
