Roethlisberger made a stop-over at Steelers training camp on Wednesday. He was with Mike Tomlin and threw passes to Diontae Johnsen. Johnson also said that he believes Big Ben 'still has it is still there' which...we'll agree to disagree there. The one thing Roethlisberger evidently didn't speak to was Pickett who is his like heir apparent when the smoke clears. Why would Big Ben suddenly be a little standoff-ish with the Pitt product?Roethlisberger had Pickett over for dinner shortly after he was drafted, so let's not make something out of nothing. He said he's always there for me if I have any questions or advice," Pickett said at the time. "I mean, Ben is an amazing player and Hall of Famer, and I'll definitely consider to help me in the next few months here."However, Ben does have an infamous history of disrespect with his competition. When Mason Rudolph was drafted in 2018, Roethlisberger publicly questioned the selection on his radio show. Rudolph was the sole person who he talked to during practice. He also did not mentor Rudolph. Now, Roethlisberger isn't on the roster, but could some of that same behavior be bubbling within him? It's doubtful. Pickett is able to access Roethlisberger as a resource and has had access to him since his college days. Pickett will have Ben as a resource in his first few professional seasons as Pickett adjusts to the new Pittsburgh media market.
