 Angelina Jolie is an Academy Award-winning actress who gained fame after her role in Girl, Interrupted (1999) as the main character in the "Lara Croft" blockbuster movies and also Mr. and Mrs. Smith (2005), Wanted (2008), Salt (2010) and Maleficent (2014). Jolie is engaged in charitable endeavors around the world, particularly those that include refugees. Jolie has been featured on numerous "most beautiful women" lists, and she has personal lives that are avidly covered by the tabloid press.Jolie was born Angelina Jolie Voight in Los Angeles, California. From the time she was a child, Angelina began absorbing the acting craft from her actor parents, Jon Voight, an Oscar-winning actor, as well as Marcheline Bertrand, who had trained with Lee Strasberg. The attractive look of her is likely to stem from her heritage which includes German as well as Slovak on her father's side and French-Canadian, Dutch, Polish, and remote Huron, on the mother's side. Angelina began her studies at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute when she was just eleven years old.
