Michael Oher

Michael Oher, a young star in American football, is an example of what it is to be a sports superstar. His childhood was not easy. His father was in prison the majority times, and his mother was heavily dependent on drugs and alcohol. This meant that the boy did not fare well as a student, until he was taken into foster care. He was adopted by a couple after having spent the time in foster care. His adoptive parents offered him affection and love that the rest of his life had. He made improvements in his academics and discovered a passion for sports. He worked hard to improve the grades he was able to achieve to pass the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). He was driven by his love for football and strived to be an outstanding player. Many universities wanted him be a part of their team and provided him with scholarships. He chose to go to the University of Mississippi, which was his foster family's alma mater. Since then he has made his way up the ladder step by step, and is now among the most well-known name in American Football. Alongside his numerous victories, he also has many prizes and awards.
