Reba Nell McEntire, born Monday, March 28, 1955 in McAlester (Oklahoma). Since she was 5, the reigning queen of country music, Reba Nell McEntire, has been pursuing a musical career. She sang at Junior High School with her musical siblings, the Singing McEntires. A talented athlete, Reba McEntire followed in the tradition of her rodeo-winning father in barrel racing competition. The performance she gave of the "Star Spangled Banner" at the 1974 National Finals Rodeo in Oklahoma City caught the attention of the songwriter Red Steagall, who suggested she consider the possibility of a career in the field of country music. Since then, she has been given seven gold and five platinum albums and 2 Grammy Awards. She also has explored different possibilities of entertainment, such as serving as a guest-host on Good Morning America (1975) & earning generally favorable reviews for her performance in the film titled "Tremors" and the TV mini-series, Buffalo Girls (1995). Starstruck Entertainment was formed in 1988 to handle all aspects of her performing and musical careers.
