Ozzy Osbourne

Ozzy Osbourne, one of the most prominent heavy metal musicians and one of the most famous and popular is born in Birmingham, England as John Michael Osbourne. After leaving school and working many jobs that were not his, he wound up in a band that was formed with Geezer Butler. The group broke up in the mid-1970s, and Ozzy and Geezer joined Tony Iommi (including Earth) in a new group. It was dubbed Black Sabbath and was named in honor of the song with the same name that was featured on their debut album (released 1969/70). He released a few more albums with Sabbath despite the decline in his relationship with Tony Iommi, which , following a series of breakups, resulted in his departure or being exiled from the group in 1979. After a short time he launched a solo career with a line up to his left that changed from album to album and tour to tour. In the 80's, he diagnosed with alcoholism several times and was twice sued for the suicides of some of his young supporters (cleared completely). He stated that he would not perform following the release of his No More Tears album.
