Lacey Chabert

 Lacey Nicole Chabert was born in Purvis, Mississippi, to Julie (Johnson) and Tony Chabert, a representative for an oil company. She is of Cajun, French, Italian, English, Scottish and English heritage. Chabert began performing with musicals and drama in and around her hometown in Mississippi from young age. She was a finalist on Star Search (1983) in 1991. After getting her start in the commercial for cough syrup and then auditioned for Les Miserables on Broadway, where she was the teen Cosette for two years. Since then, she's been in a number of TV series, notably Party of Five (1994), a number of films on telefilms such as Gypsy (1993) as well as her big-screen debut, Lost in Space (1998). Her charming personality and natural acting abilities have helped make her a household name. She is also featured in numerous commercial jingles and animated TV shows, including Nickelodeon's the Wild Thornberries (1998). She is a talented violinist, and is a fan of many things, including shoe shopping as well as Cajun cooking. Her promising career has led to her family shifting from Mississippi to California and she is joined by two sisters and a brother.
