Jacqueline Bisset has been an international film actor since the late 1960s. Her first film roles were mostly due to her beautiful beauty, however in time, she has grown into a fine actress respected by both critics and fans alike. Her co-stars include Anthony Quinn, Paul Newman, Nick Nolte, Jean-Paul Belmondo, Kenneth Branagh and Marcello Mastroianni.Her rather French-sounding name has led many to believe she's from France However, she was born in England and had to learn French. Her mother, Jacqueline, was a French lawyer. Jacqueline was an accomplished ballet dancer as a child. During her teenage years her father left the family when her mother was diagnosed with disseminating sclerosis; Jacqueline worked as a model to support her ailing mother and eventually her parents divorced, an experience she has said she considered character-strengthening. The modeling business she had earned her acting classes.
