Giada Pamela de Laurentiis is born in Italy. She is an American chef, television personality, and writer. She is known as host of the TV show 'Giada at Home' that airs on Food Network. The show has been nominated for two times for the Emmy Award and has also won her the Gracie Award. Laurentiis was born in Rome. She moved to the USA as a child. Initially, she worked as a chef at various restaurants in Los Angeles. Later, while employed as a food stylist she was approached by the Food Network after she styled an article for 'Food & Wine the magazine. It was then that she launched her daily cooking show 'Everything Italy' which won her an Emmy Award for 'Outstanding Lifestyle Host'. She is currently host of the popular TV show 'Giada at home'. Laurentiis is also the writer of several books. 'Giada at Home' and 'Weeknights' stood at the top spot on the New York Times Best Seller List. She was inducted into the Culinary Hall of Fame in 2012.
