George Clooney

 George Timothy Clooney was born on May 6, 1961, in Lexington, Kentucky, to Nina Bruce (nee Warren) who was a former beauty pageant queen and Nick Clooney, a former anchorman and TV anchorman (who was also the brother of singer Rosemary Clooney). Clooney has German, English, and Irish origin. Clooney was born in Ohio and Kentucky and went to Augusta High School. He was extremely involved in various sports, including basketball and baseball, and played for the Cincinnati Reds, but was not given the chance to sign a contract.After his cousin, Miguel Ferrer, got Clooney a small part in a feature film, Clooney began to pursue acting. He was first seen as Ace in the sitcom E/R (1984). Later roles followed such as George Burnett, the handsome handyman in The Facts of Life (1979); Booker Brooks, the supervisor of Roseanne (1988) and Detective James Falconer on Sisters (1991). Clooney made his breakthrough in 1994, when he was cast opposite Anthony Edwards and Julianna Margulies as Dr. Doug Ross in the drama series ER (1994).
