 DJ Envy Biography by Jason Birchmeier The Desert Storm Mixtape: DJ Envy DJ Envy - Blok Party, Vol. 1New York's DJ Envy is an internationally renowned TV and radio host, as well as a long-time mixtape distributor and producer. He was trained by Queens native DJ Clue? and released numerous mixtapes before making his commercial debut with 2003’s The Desert Storm Mixtape : DJ Envy- Blok Party. 1. Following her meeting with DJ Clue, Envy became a regular on New York's hip-hop radio. In the 1990s, he began to mix in. In the early '90s, he was frequently releasing mixtapes. Envy rose up the ranks swiftly, and by the early 2000s, Envy was peddling the most recent exclusives and freestyles from famous rappers such as Jay-Z, 50 Cent, and LOX. His production work was featured on albums such as Fabolous' Ghetto Fabolous, and Foxy Brown's Broken Silence. His debut commercial release, The Desert Storm Mixtape: DJ Envy - Blok Party Volume. DJ Clue released 1 's Desert Storm label in 2003 The album reached 57 on the Billboard 200. In 2007, Red Cafe from New York joined the Co-Op.
