Christopher Robert Evans is an American actor as well as film producer and director. Evans began his acting career in a typical fashion: performing in school productions as well as community theatre.He was born in Boston, Massachusetts, the son of Lisa (Capuano), who worked in the Concord Youth Theatre, and G. Robert Evans III who was a dentist. His uncle is the former U.S. Representative Mike Capuano. Chris's father is of half German and half Welsh/English/Scottish ancestry, while Chris's mother is of half Italian and half Irish descent. He has an older sister, Carly Evans, and two younger siblings, including a brother named Scott Evans, who is also an actor, and a younger sister called Shana Evans. At the age of eleven, old, his family relocated to suburban Sudbury. Evans was bitten by acting around the age of 11, when his older sister Carly started performing. Evans began to appear in school productions. While attending Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School, the drama teacher in his class praised his performance as "Leontes" in "The Winter's Tale" as exemplary of his talent. He continued his studies in theatre and was soon able to move to New York City, where He attended the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute.
