Camila was born in Havana on March 3, 1997. She auditioned for X Factor in 2012 before joining Fifth Harmony, a girl group where she was the lead singer. Cabello, along with her bandmates released an EP and two studio albums. The group's departure was announced on December 18, 2016. As the lead singer, Cabello released two hit singles, Shawn Mendes 'I Know What You Did Last Summer Machine Gun Kelly's 'Bad Thing'. In 2017 Cabello began preparing to release her first solo album. Camila was nominated for a Grammy and had features with Cashmere Cat's "Love Incredible" and Pitbull's "Hey Ma". While Cabello was awed by these accomplishments, she also secured herself the Guess contract to become an official Guess girl as well as to become the model for their 2017 Fall campaign. Cabello was invited to the Bruno Mars 24K Magic World Tour as an opening performance. She played a total of 20 shows. Cabello released her smash single "Havana" on the 3rd of August on the 3rd of August, 2017 as a present to her fans. Cabello declared that 'Havana' is the first official single from her debut album. Cabello also scrapped the original track 'Crying in the Club' that was originally planned to be the first single from her debut album. Hot 100 Billboard ranked 'Havana first, which is the top spot on the UK Official charts and over 80 other top-rated songs on iTunes.
